MEET THE CREATORS
IAN
Hey! I'm Ian (he/him). I'm a podcast host now apparently, so that's cool!
The interpretation of another person's artistic creation is fascinating to me, and so naturally I am drawn to works with heavy symbolism and abstract concepts that are less than overt in their presentation. Other than elements of storytelling I find the whole film making process intriguing as well. From the ever-developing technologies to the ingenuity of creators to execute their vision within certain confines, it's all magic in its own way. If I'm not working my day job or having a blast doing Creep Shows I'm typically found playing video games with friends online or hanging out with my best friend. I enjoy singing and eventually would like to get into voice acting work, so throughout most of my day I can be heard making weird noises of some variety. |
MADELINE
Hello! My name is Madeline (she/her) and I am one of the hosts of Creep Shows.
I have been reading scary stories since elementary school. As I've gotten older, most of the horror I read has become true crime. As much as I've always enjoyed reading about real life horrors and disturbing fiction, I've never had a lot of interest in watching it. Mostly because I am EXTREMELY squeamish (I don't do well with gore). Growing up I always thought "scary movies" equated to "slasher films". In recent years by watching movies like "Get Out" and "Midsommar," I've learned that there is a side of the horror genre where the stories are based in reality, and to me, that is where true terror comes from. When I'm not busy researching the films we watch for Creep Shows, I can be found singing barbershop style music, trying to keep my garden from dying further or watching "Schitt's Creek" for the fifteenth time. |
